The biggest draw that Goa has is undoubtedly the string of virtually uninterrupted golden-sand beaches. The coastline stretches along with the Arabian Sea from its tip to the toe – every beach with its own community possesses its own reputation and personality. Goa has the power to cater to the tropical whims of every backpacker.
The palm-fringed sands, the exotic bliss of the hippie markets, lovely laid-back charisma of the beaches, fancy resorts, hidden crescent coves, expansive groomed sands – all of which is only a glimpse of the stunning dream that is Goa.
Day 1: Explore Goa and its amazing beaches
Day 2: Try out different water activities
Goa is all about experiencing the kaleidoscopic blend of Portuguese and Indian cultures which has been sweetened with the presence of sun, sand, sea, seafood, spirituality, and susegad. This is the ultimate Goa itinerary for the pocket-sized paradise in India.
Your trip will start the moment you land in Goa. Pick up from the Goa railway station and the airport is arranged. You will be brought straight away to your AC deluxe room. The northern beaches in Goa encompass a fragment of everything that is beautiful and great about this place. From forts to fine beaches, rivers, yoga, lively resorts, and nightlife. We will start by taking a vehicle ferry which is a shortcut from Panaji all the way to Bentim across Mandovi River. The Reis Magos Fort is worth paying a visit before you soak in the views that Fort Aguada offers from the hilltop. The busiest resort strip in Goa is made of Candolim, Baga, and Calangute beaches. You can indulge in different water sports here. If you want to witness the nightlife in Goa, then the northern region won’t be a disappointment. You will also have access to both fine dining restaurants and beach shacks here.
The hippie trance happy days begin from north of Baga River and proceeds towards Anjuna. Browsing through the flea markets, enjoying the relaxing party vibe, or exploring the easy-going villages Chapora and Vagator is also a possibility. For amazing sunset views, you have to climb all the way to Chapora Fort. One can’t miss out on the infamous Bob Marley vibe Arambol beach either. This will bring an end to day one.
Once you’re done enjoying your complimentary breakfast at the hotel you can spend a lazy day on the beaches of South Goa. But, for the adventure seekers, there are interesting inland exploits. The party vibe on this side of the coast is less. You can browse through the markets in Margao. There is a delightful beach that lies 6km in the west of Margao. For scuba diving, you have to head in the northern direction of Bogmalo via Utorda and Majorda beaches. There is a popular museum – Goa Chitra present here. You can follow the incredible coastal stretch of road through the pleasant Betul all the way to lovely Anguda. Take a halt at the secluded Cola Beach and Cabo da Rama. The little paradise within Goa is Palolem. This is perfect for swimming, beach huts, yoga, and cooking classes, however, if you seek nothing but peace Patnem won’t be a disappointment.
This will bring an end to day 2 of the trip.
